Lingua Lab’s Lila

This project involved the creation of a mascot for the language school Lingua Lab, as well as illustrations for their books.

It required a simpler, more childish look than my usual work.

We started with some character ideas to choose from. We explored their favorite, making changes and incorporating the brand colors in her palette. I drew different model sheets of the final character: a turnaround and two expression sheets.

Afterwards, we worked on the illustrations for the three books, these included full page and spot illustrations. We decided to go without outlines to match other illustrations that had already been chosen for the contents.

Each book also required a mascot design: A firefly, a unicorn and a very special dragonfly.
